Pink Slips - eSafety Inspections
If your registration is due and your vehicle is more than five years old, you'll need a pink slip first. We make it quick and painless from our Lambton workshop.
A pink slip - officially an eSafety inspection (eSI) - checks that your vehicle is safe and roadworthy before you renew its NSW registration. As an authorised inspection station we run the check and lodge the result electronically with Transport for NSW, so once you pass you can renew straight away through Service NSW.
We inspect cars, utes, vans and other light vehicles, and we'll get you in and out without the wait wherever we can. If something doesn't pass we won't just hand you a fail and send you off - we'll explain exactly what's needed and, because we're a full mechanical workshop, we can carry out the repairs and re-check on the spot.
Not sure whether you need a pink slip or a blue slip? If your vehicle is currently registered in NSW, it's a pink slip. If it's unregistered, you'll need a blue slip - and we do those too.

Questions about pink slips
In NSW, most light vehicles more than five years old need an eSafety (pink slip) inspection each year before the registration can be renewed. Your Service NSW renewal notice will tell you if one is required.
An eSafety inspection report is valid for six months for the purpose of renewing your registration.
You'll get a clear list of what needs attention. As a full workshop we can usually carry out the repairs here and re-inspect, so you're not driving all over Newcastle to get sorted.
