Car Air Conditioning Re-Gas & Repairs
When the air con quits in a Newcastle summer, you notice fast. We get the cold air back the right way - by finding the actual fault, not just topping up gas and hoping.
Most warm-air problems come down to low refrigerant, a leak, or a worn component. We start with a full pressure test and electronic leak detection so we know exactly what's going on before we touch anything. You get a clear explanation and an upfront price - no blind re-gas that leaks out a week later.
We service both older R134a systems and the newer R1234yf gas, and we repair the lot: compressors, condensers, evaporators, hoses and the electrical side that controls it all. While we're in there we can swap a tired cabin filter and treat the system for the musty smell that builds up over time.
From hatchbacks to lifted 4WDs and hard-working utes, every make and model is welcome. Whether it's a quick re-gas before a road trip or a full system rebuild, the team at our Lambton workshop will sort it.

Questions about car air conditioning
Usually it's low on refrigerant because of a slow leak, but it can also be a failing compressor or an electrical fault. We pressure-test and leak-detect first, so you're not paying for a re-gas that leaks straight back out.
A straightforward re-gas is generally done within the hour. If we find a leak or a faulty part, we'll quote the repair before doing any extra work.
Yes. We're equipped for both R134a and the newer R1234yf refrigerant used in later-model vehicles.
We can. That smell is bacteria building up in the system together with a clogged cabin filter. We treat the system and replace the filter to clear it up.
